Lifetime Brands | Design Engineer

  • Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of designers to develop over 75 new mug, tumbler, and water bottle designs for customers like Starbucks and Disney

  • Personally ensured item functionality and manufacturability prior to tooling development through research and testing 

  • Partnered with international factories to quote, sample, and manufacture innovative design solutions to classic problems in the hydration market such as sealing, cleanability, and cost

June 2022 – August 2023

Yale Interactive Machines Group | Undergraduate Researcher, Consultant

  • Designed and fabricated a completely new robotic arm with 4 degrees of freedom and compatibility with the lab’s existing ROS software for use in social robotics research, under the supervision of Dr. Marynel Vázquez

  • Troubleshooted and continued building a new iteration of an interactive mobile cart to capture human interaction data

  • Collaborated with graduate students on design and execution of a study to be published on robot delivery of counterfactual neural network explanations

June 2021 – August 2021

Stanley Black & Decker | Electrical Engineering Intern

  • Validated bus caps and shunt resistors on the electronic trigger module in DeWalt drills and impact drivers through circuit hardware modification and gyroscope measurements.

  • Personally qualified a new voltage regulator for an unreleased gyro module chip, which allowed for a $70k risk order to resume production of two new products, resulting in $80M in potential sales

October 2019 – November 2020

Yale Center for Collaborative Arts and Media | Temporary Expert

  • Collaborated with CCAM staff on a number of tech and art related projects, including constructing a model of the floorplan of the building in order to better utilize the space for art shows

  • Wrote the weekly electronic newsletter, which became 10% more likely to be opened, resulting in increased event interest and attendance.

March 2018 – October 2019

Yale Student Technology Collaborative | Student Tech

  • Troubleshot, diagnosed, and repaired Yale students’ personal computers with both hardware and software issues

  • Provided advice to clients assigned to me both in person and over email, and managed the work by other employees on those tickets

Johns Hopkins University Engineering Innovation | Teaching Assistant

  • Introduced high school students to various engineering disciplines by aiding in college level lectures and lab demonstrations 

  • Offered one-on-one tutoring in office hours twice a week and other out of the classroom support for struggling students, which saw an increase in their grades as well as their interest in the material

Leadership Experience

August 2021 - May 2022

Yale College Dean's Office | First Year Counselor

  • Introduced a group of 15 first-year students to the academic, social, and cultural life of Yale College initially through nightly meetings, and later through one-on-one advising meetings to connect them with resources and support

  • Collaborated with a team of 9 to plan weekly activity nights, handle medical emergencies, and support the first-year class as a whole

November 2020 – May 2021

Yale University | Computer Science Undergraduate Community Liaison

  • Aided Professors Abhishek Bhattacharjee and Robert Soule in fostering connections across the computer science community at Yale

  • Created and ran a new social media presence to promote events and encourage conversation 

  • Planned and executed community building events such as colloquiums from guest speakers, trivia nights, and career events

During my time at Yale, I have taken the foundational courses in EECS, and sought out electives in the major specifically in Computer Engineering and embedded systems design. I have also taken a number of classes in Theater, Art, and Design, including courses in West African dance, Belle Époque art, Theater History, Dancefilm, Theatrical Violence, and Art in Greek Antiquity.
